Glory to Ukraine! Dear colleagues!
As we noted in the last review - the total TV viewing in March was reduced by more than half. April brought new results, and they are quite ambiguous: TV viewing began to grow (from 3.92% to 4.83%), but this increase is primarily due to the growth of average coverage for the day (average daily coverage increased from 23.1% to 29.8%) , ie more than 20%). At the same time, the average viewing time was reduced by 13 minutes to 3 hours 53 minutes, and the number of households with IPTV / OTT viewing decreased by 250 thousand.
That is, we can state the following facts in April:
- The number of active IPTV / OTT users decreased by 250 000 compared to March;
- Those who continue to use this technology to receive content have started to turn on the TV more often, but have reduced the viewing time a bit.
- If you look at the preferences of viewers, there is a noticeable trend towards watching channels that are not related to the coverage of households. That is, the viewer begins to pay more attention to content that distracts him from the military routine.
The top 10 TV channels in terms of share in April included only three TV channels that show the marathon "United News", and they show a decrease in the share of viewings compared to March. At the same time, the channels that have returned to the usual programming (as far as possible during the war) are increasing the share on the contrary.
Now about the performance of the channels for April. As of the end April in our IPTV / OTT panel there were more than 431 thousand devices, the largest increase by the month of the channels groups of movie, TV series and documentary.
