On May 29, 2019, the Second Ceremony of «BIG DATA Awards» * took place.
BIG DATA UA, independent rating agency, conducts the Second Ceremony of “BIG DATA Awards” to reward TV channels for high performance in the BIG DATA Rating system (Ukrainian IPTV/OTT audience) during 2018.
*« BIG DATA Awards» - was established in 2017 by the Ukrainian independent agency of « BIG DATA UA».
During the ceremony, Sergiy Boyko, the head of Big Data Ua, presented awards to the winning TV channels in each of the following categories:
The leading TV channels in groups of:
- General viewing TV
- Children's TV;
- Entertainment TV;
- Movie TV ;
- News TV ;
- Music TV
- Documentary TV;
- Sports TV;
- Regional (local) TV
- TV series
Here are the list of the winners (1st place) and «Serious Challengers» (2nd place) in 2018 for each of nominations.
«The Leader» among TV channels of General Viewing in 2018 was 1 + 1, and «TRK Ukraine» was the “Serious Challenger” in this category.
«The Leader» among Children's TV channels was «PLUS PLUS», and "Cartoon Network" became a “Serious Challenger” to it;
«The Leader» among Entertainment TV channels was «TET», and "MEGA" became a “Serious Challenger”
«The Leader» among Movie TV channels was «FOX», and "ENTER-Film" became his competitor and took its «Serious Challenger»
The 1st place among News TV channels in 2018 got «112» Channel», and the "NEWS ONE" took the second place;
The winner in the category of Music TV channels in 2018 was «M1», and "MUSIC BOX UA" became a «Serious Challenger» in its group.
«The Leader» among Documentary TV channels in 2018 was «DISCOVERY Channel», "NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC" got the second place;
The leading channels among Sports TV channels for last 12 month became «FOOTBALL 1» (1st place) and «FOOTBAL 2»( 2d place)
«The Leader» among the TV channels demonstrating the TV series - «NLO-TV», and "Paramount Comedy" was its “Serious Challenger”.
In the category of Regional (local) TV channels, «DONBASS channel» was The Leader and "ATR" took a “Serious Challenger” award for the year 2018.
Also, the awards were taken by the "Natalie" TV channel in the "New start (Debut) of the Year" category - for the successful start of broadcasting by the new TV channel, and the TV channel "NASH.MAXI-TV" in the "Step Forward" category - for a successful re-launch of the broadcasting.

** Based on data from the monitoring system of the Big Data Rating, the best among the TV channels were determined, which from April 2018 to April 2019 headed TOP in each of the categories.
